Thread: Baby health and IVF

Was just wondering if anyone has any insight or info if there is a correlation between women who conceive through IVF and infants with poor health, whether it be premature birth, colic, acid reflux, or just general poor health? Or are the two totally and completely unrelated?

I have no idea, but I am curious to know why you have asked this question? Is this a pattern you have been witnessing personally? I only know one couple with an IVF baby, and he seems healthy and normal.

Yes, I have seen that in the very few IVF babies/mothers that I know of. Also in one mother who has cerebral palsy - both her children had/have significant health issues. However, one IVF mother who is a friend has had two healthy kiddos, though she was on early bed rest to prevent premature birth.
