    Recovery After Pregnancy

    After childbirth many women wonder when they will begin to feel like themselves again. Your body has gone through an incredible amount of physical changes during the pregnancy, and during the child birthing process. It will take time to mend physically as well as emotionally from the experience. Many women feel it is inappropriate to be concerned about their physical appearance with the added responsibility of being a new mom.

    I agree Manavi, it is like overnight you become devoted to your helpless baby and can no longer be the center of attention for yourself. There are a lot of pressures on making a first impression as a mom, and being too concerned about your physical appearance can give that impression to others that you are not going to be the best mom. I was very concerned with my physical appearance because I did not want to look like crap in all of my babies photos, but I did get some the vibe that putting lipstick on after childbirth was inappropriate, but whatever (;

    Yes it is not easy to recover right away from pregnancy, to labor and childbirth. And most especially during the postpartum period wherein we are caught between the baby's and our very own needs. But we mothers need to be strong and stay positive to avoid having postpartum depression which could be dangerous for the mother and the baby as well.

    Going through pregnancy is a gradual process the body goes through so getting your body back takes a while as well.

    Yes, getting pregnant, giving birth and including the postpartum period isn't easy at all. During the postpartum period, one way to feel refreshed and alert is to perform the postpartum exercises. Postpartum exercises help us get back in shape and gives us an overall feeling of well being. :-)
