Milk, formula and fruit juices are very high in sugars. If a child is given either one of these drinks (i would hate to think that a child this age would be consuming soda), parents need to make sure that these are only restricted to their meal times. If the same drink is consumed over the period of a few hours then it can cause severe rampant tooth decay. If your child likes to drink at will, the sippy cup should only have water in it. But if the baby teeth keep on being flooded with sugary drinks, then the bacteria get to feed on these sugars all day.
